About us

Tailift was indeed established in 1973 in Taiwan by Mr. Steve Lin, who started his journey in machinery manufacturing after his military service, in Taichung County. His initial focus was on radial drilling machines, which he marketed under the TAIPIIN brand, leading to his first significant financial success in 1975. This beginning marks the company’s initial steps in a journey that has spanned over 50 years, reflecting its sustained innovation and growth in the industry.

From there, Mr. Lin expanded Tailift's product range to include material handling trucks (like forklift trucks), sheet metal processing machines (such as NCT turret punch presses, laser cutting, CNC press brakes, and automated equipment), multi-axis tea compressing and modeling machines, machining centers, and more. These developments highlight the company's diversification and innovation in various machinery sectors.

A pivotal moment in Tailift's history was its entry into the Toyota Industries Group in 2015. This partnership reflects the company's commitment to producing high-quality forklifts and aligning with Toyota's production philosophy. Tailift's expansion continued with significant developments in sheet metal processing and laser technology, making it a leading supplier in the sheet metal industry in Taiwan and beyond.
